HOW IT STARTED

Pest control wasn't the original plan.

Before pest control, I spent some time working in law enforcement. After leaving that field, I took my first pest control job.

My dad told me I should quit and find a factory job — something consistent that would pay the bills.

I didn't listen.

I stayed in pest control, kept learning, kept improving, and spent years working for other companies. Along the way, I repeatedly ranked among the top technicians — including top 100, top 10, and number one.

WHY START A COMPANY?

Eventually, enough customers said the same thing.

Over the years, customers regularly told me I should start my own pest control company because of how thorough I was, how I treated their homes, and how I treated them.

After hearing that enough times, I finally decided to take the plunge.

Damn Good Pest Control was created to be the kind of company I'd want servicing my own home: honest, personal, thorough, and straightforward.

WHY THE NAME?

Because another generic corporate name wasn't me.

Damn Good Pest Control wasn't even the original name I had in mind.

But the more I thought about it, the more it fit. I didn't want to build another company that sounded like it came out of a corporate naming meeting.

I wanted the name to say exactly what the goal is: provide damn good pest control and damn good service, without the runaround.

WHAT THAT MEANS FOR CUSTOMERS

No bullshit for a sale.

I'm not going to lie about what I can take care of. I'm not going to promise something pest control can't realistically deliver.

If Damn Good Pest Control is the right fit for your home, I want to prove it through the service — not through a high-pressure sales pitch.

The goal is for customers to actually be happy when their technician shows up. Someone familiar, trustworthy, and welcome at your home — someone you know is there to help protect it.
